2020: Walk for the Future took place on Saturday, 2nd March 2019. Over 2000 people participated in a choreographed parade featuring more than 30 "acts" or "tukdees". The Juloos began near Mahim beach and ended in Bandra, and at times was more than a kilometre in length.
Accompanied by visuals from the allied copy-left poster campaign https://PostersUnite.in, the streets reverberated with the words of Amrita Pritam, Amitosh Nagpal, Dushyant Kumar, Faiz Ahmad Faiz, Habib Jalil, Kabir, Naresh Saxena, Pash, Ravidas, Sambhaji Bhagat, Shantanu Kamble, Uday Prakash, Wamandada Kardak, Vasant Bapat amongst other new calls and actions
The below is the pledge that the crowd took, in 3 languages, at the end of the evening.

आम्ही सर्व आज इथे आपले विश्व आणि त्याचे भविष्य यासाठी संघटित होऊन शपथ घेत आहोत.
जेव्हा आम्ही असं विचारतो की ‘आपल्याला कोणत्या प्रकारचे भविष्य हवे आहे?
तेव्हा त्याचं उत्तर असतं की
आम्ही एकजुटीने घडवू इच्छितो
एक असं भविष्य जे द्वेषमुक्त व युध्दमुक्त असेल
असं भविष्य जिथे लोकशाही हा मतांचा खेळ नसेल तर सर्वांना सहभागी करून घेण्याची प्रक्रिया असेल.
जिच्यात सर्वप्रथम अल्पसंख्य व वंचितांना सामावून घेतले जाईल.
असं भविष्य जे नजीकच्या भूतकाळात घडलेले द्वेषपूर्ण गुन्हे व सामूहिक हत्या स्मरणात ठेवेल आणि अशा घटनांची पुनरावृत्ती करणाऱ्यांची निर्भर्त्सना करेल.
असं भविष्य जिथे इतिहासाच्या नावाखाली केलेल्या हिंसेला माफी नसेल, आणि जे भूतकाळाच्या तुरुंगात कैद नसेल.
असं भविष्य जिथे आपण आपल्याला सेंसाॅर न करता, निर्भयपणे खरे बोलू शकू.
असं भविष्य जिथे आपण कोण म्हणून जन्माला आलो ह्याला महत्व न देता आपण स्वत: स्वत:ची ओळख निर्माण करू शकू.
असं भविष्य जिथे खाजगी गोपनीयतेचा अधिकार अबाधित असेल व आपल्या खाजगी गोष्टी डेटा म्हणून विकल्या किंवा विकत घेतल्या जाऊ शकणार नाहीत.
असं भविष्य जिथे राष्ट्र आणि त्याची सीमा मानवी एकजूट आणि सहजीवनाला मर्यादा घालणार नाही.
असं भविष्य जिथे केवळ वर्तमान घटनांना प्रतिक्रिया दिल्या जाणार नाहीत तर कल्पनाशक्ती व सर्जनाला वेळ व अवकाश देण्यात येईल.
असं भविष्य जे समान, न्यायी व मुक्त असेल.
आम्ही असे वचन देतो की आम्ही हे भविष्य संकुचित दृष्टीकोन असणाऱ्या लोकांच्या हाती देणार नाही.
आम्ही असे वचन देतो की हे भविष्य घडवण्यासाठी आम्ही एकेकट्याने तसेच एकजुटीने आमच्या कर्तव्याचे पालन करू.
एकमेकांच्या साथीने
आम्ही आमचे भविष्य घडवू.

हम लोग, आज के दिन, एकजुट होते हुए, हमारी दुनिया और उसके भविष्य के नाम, यहाँ शपथ लेते हैं।
जब हम पूछें, 'हम कैसा भविष्य चाहते हैं?'
हमारा जवाब है कि
हम माँगे, और साथ बनाएं
ऐसा भविष्य जो जंग और नफ़रत से मुक्त हो।
ऐसा भविष्य जहाँ लोकतंत्र गिनती का खेल न हो, पर एक भागीदारी की प्रक्रिया।
और सबसे पहले उन के लिए जो अल्प संख्याओं में हों।
ऐसा भविष्य जो हाल ही में हुए नफ़रत-भरे अपराधों और भीड़-हत्याओं को याद करते हुए, उन लोगों की निंदा करे जो ऐसे अपराधों को दोहराने की हिम्मत रखते हैं।
ऐसा भविष्य जहाँ इतिहास के नाम पर किये अपराध माफ़ नहीं किये जाएंगे, ऐसा भविष्य जो अतीत का क़ैदखाना न हो।
ऐसा भविष्य जहाँ हम अपने आप को सेंसर किये बिना, निर्भय हो कर सच बोल सकें,
ऐसा भविष्य जहाँ हमारी जन्म की पहचान से हटकर, हम ख़ुद अपनी पहचान बना सकें।
ऐसा भविष्य जो हर एक की एकान्तता को मौलिक अधिकार माने, जहाँ हमारी इंसानी बातें डेटा के तौर पर खरीदी और बेचीं न जा सकें।
ऐसा भविष्य जहाँ मुल्क़ और उसकी सीमाएँ लोगों की एकता और साथ जीने की ख्वाइशों की हद न हों।
ऐसा भविष्य जहाँ सिर्फ़ वर्तमान पर प्रतिक्रिया करने के लिए नहीं, बल्कि कल्पना करने के लिए वक़्त और जगह हो।
ऐसा भविष्य जो समान, न्यायी, और आज़ाद हो।
हम वादा करते हैं कि हम यह भविष्य तंग-नज़र लोगों के हाथ नहीं छोड़ेंगे।
हम शपथ लेते हैं कि हम अपने आप को समर्पित करते हैं, निजी और समाजी तौर पर, इस मुल्क के भविष्य के निर्माण के लिये ।
एक साथ, हम ही बनेंगे हमारा भविष्य।

WE THE PEOPLE, who have assembled here today, affirm our claim to this world that we live in, and to its future.
WHEN WE ASK "what is the future that we desire?"
We ANSWER that
We Want and We will Build Together:
A FUTURE free of hate and war.
A FUTURE where Democracy is not a Numbers game, but a process of participation, available to all. First and above all for those on the margins, and in the minority.
A FUTURE that remembers the hate crimes and mob lynchings of the recent past, and condemns those that dare to repeat them.
A FUTURE whose crimes are not justified by the past, a future that is not a prison of the past.
A FUTURE where we speak truth to power, without fear or self-censorship.
A FUTURE where we self-determine who we are, and not be determined by who we were born as.
A FUTURE that holds individual privacy as a basic right, where our human exchanges are not bought and sold as data.
A FUTURE where the nation and its border cannot be the limit of human solidarity and living together.
A FUTURE where there is space and time to imagine and create, not just react to the present.
A FUTURE that is equal, just and free.
WE PROMISE not to leave this future in the hands of those who are constrained by narrow imaginations.
WE TAKE A PLEDGE that we will dedicate ourselves towards building this future both individually and collectively.
TOGETHER, we will be the Future we want to see.
